The Wall Street Journal's Forecasting Survey

August 15, 2008

Economists remain spilt on whether the economy is in recession or not and hence, if the Fed should be more concerned about inflation or weak economic growth with 60% saying economic growth and 40% inflation. When asked about risks to the global economy the percentage of economists who saw inflation as the major threat rose to 47%.
