One issue important to investors is to determine what kind of economic environment will be produced by the economic policies of the Obama administration. One way to provide an answer is to look back in time at different administrations and draw a parallel to the administrations and examine their economic performances. In Table 1, we show the performance of the misery index and the stock market during different administrations.
