To Pivot or Not?

We tend to lean to the point of view that President Obama is a true believer. His State of the Union address reinforced our views. In this regard we believe he is like President Bush. He will act on his beliefs even if the policies are not popular. We do not agree with the president’s agenda, but we think the president truly believes in his agenda and that he is principled enough to sacrifice a second term if that is what it takes to get some of the legislation that he is considering done.
