The Wall Street Journal's Forecasting Survey

February 11, 2010

The economists forecast that the U.S. will add about 133, 000 jobs a month over the next year. With about 100, 000 new jobs a month needed to soak up new entrants to the work force this falls short of the 203, 000 figure cited by the respondents as optimal for a sustained recovery.
