Looking at the different experiences around the world, one cannot fail to notice that the financial markets are quick to respond to the political and economic changes. One issue that concerns us is the sustainability of these economic policies. We find that, in general, political freedom and economic freedom go hand-in-hand and they tend to produce sustainable improvements in economic performance and overall wellbeing.
