Industrial Production Outlook

January 17, 2002

Industrial production is expected to have bottomed during the fourth quarter after registering a 1.25% decline and to rise 2.60% by the end of the third quarter of 2002. The data lends itself to a very nice interpretation. Our outlook is for the turning point to occur in the first quarter and to continue accelerating as the year progresses. (full article attached)
