The Economic Effects of Mrs. Clinton’s Non-Quarterly Capitalism

The anti-quarterly capitalism policies will have an impact on the capital structure. But, as we mentioned, there are two different possibilities. One is that the taxation of dividends remains intact and the other is that the dividends will now be taxed as ordinary income. The impact on the choice of dividends versus capital gains could not be more different under these two sets of assumptions.
