While the responses across the different nations appear to be somewhat different on the surface, we contend that the nature of the populist policies depend in part on the relative importance of the different special interest groups prevalent in these economies. Hence identifying the relative importance of these different groups may shed some light into the composition of the populist policies considered in the different economies.
