The corona virus crisis has the potential of derailing the Trump reelection chances in several ways. The first being how the voters perceive the president handling of the crisis. The second and most important obstacle would be a corona virus recession. The President has been touting the economic success of his policies-- the low unemployment, the economic recovery, and the stock market success. A recession would take the air out of the Trump reelection balloon.
