Despite their recent surge, the significant under-performance of value stocks during the 1990's has led many to question the feasibility of value investing as a viable long-term strategy. In fact, judging by the fizzled value stock rallies of the past few years, some people are questioning whether value investing is useful only as a tactical strategy to take advantage of cyclical rotations in the market. However, market returns over the past three decades show that the demise of value investing is not yet upon us.
