The LJE quarterly forecast has a dual purpose. One is to produce a forecast that accurately captures the economic environment we foresee for the coming quarter. The second objective is to dress up the forecast with a parsimonious and coherent description of the foreseen economic environment. Our analysis paints to the following picture for the coming 12 months: A slowly declining inflation rate and pace of economic expansion. The forecast adds up to A flat-to-low-to-flat single-digit earnings growth and low single-digit stock market returns during the next twelve months.
