June 23, 1999

The forecast for next quarter suggests that large-caps will continue to under-perform small-cap stocks until the end of the year at which point large-caps should dominate. Small-cap stocks are expected to outperform mid-cap stocks for the next four quarters while mid-caps are expected to under-perform large-cap stocks (though we have the least confidence in this forecast due to the quality of historical mid-cap data). In short, our outlook is for small-caps to dominate until years end.
