Catching Asia's Cold? The Submerging Markets

When the stock market stubs its toe, pundits always have a reason. The markets most recent drop is being explained away by the delayed effects of the Asian crisis, and the pundits have all kinds of theories on how Asias problems are making their way to the U.S. Problem is, the transmission mechanisms most of these arguments construct are fallacious. We consider some of the more popular arguments here.
