Does Your Domestic Porfolio Have an International Component

Many U.S. companies generate a significant portion of their profits overseas or face stiff competition from foreign-based companies. So its not surprising that, in the aftermath of the Asian crisis, portfolio managers are asking which U.S. companies will benefit from the turmoil and which will be hurt. By raising the issue, domestic portfolio managers are acknowledging that some of the U.S.-based corporate shares in their portfolio have an international component.
