Sometimes the Best Gifts Come in Small Packages

There may be many reasons cited for the superior performance of small capitalization stocks the years, but economic policy - particularly fiscal policy - plays a leading role. And because, in the 71 years since 1926, small cap stocks have outperformed in 40, and there have been numerous fiscal policy changes, we have ample evidence to prove this relationship. Consider that during those 40 years, small caps beat large cap stocks by an average of 4.97%, the importance of this relationship is highlighted: historical evidence appears to make a compelling case in favor of investing in small caps.
