The Country Selector

We produce our quarterly forecasts by applying the Country Selector model to stock market data. Looking at the fourth quarter; we estimate that Australia has a 59.9% probability of outperforming the U.S. (Table 2).  In fact; many markets; including the EMU; Switzerland; New Zealand and the U.K. have lower than 50% chance of outperforming the U.S.
