Industrial Production Oulook
October 17, 2001
Industrial production declined for the twelfth consecutive month. The financial press attributes a great deal of the decline to the terrorist attacks of September 11th. In fact, the argument goes that before the terrorist attack economists were hopeful that the Industrial Production Index was on the verge of a rebound. The consensus seems to be that the attacks dashed those hopes and the index will continue to decline in the months ahead. You must have an active account to view these reports.
