The White House Forecast is not Bullish Enough

In a sign that the Iraqi situation has overshadowed the White House economic outlook, the Wall Street Journal reported the administration's one-year and five-year outlooks on the second page of the front section on Tuesday. In addition to the White House outlook, the story also reported the CBO and the Blue Chip Economic Indicators consensus of private forecasters. Although much is made about the differences in forecasts, there is very little difference in the various outlooks.
