In one statement the Dallas Fed President seems to imply that inflation was under control and yet in the other he suggests that inflation is a problem. We have just experienced the eleventh rate hike in a row and yet Mr. Fisher’s new revelation, if correct, is very disappointing. It suggests that the Fed has been ineffective in fighting inflation.
