The Wall Street Journal's First Half of 2006 Forecasting Survey

At the beginning of the first and third quarter of every year, The Wall Street Journal publishes its Semiannual Economic Forecasting Survey. Fifty-six panelists participated in the most recent survey, each panelist was asked to make 22 forecasts, and hence we have 1232 separate forecasts. We take a two-pronged approach to analyzing the whole data set.
