What should we expect to see during the next two years when the Democrats are auditioning for 2008 and beyond? Our approach is twofold. First we try to interpret the California election results and take them as a bellwether of the underlying economic trends that may develop over the next two years. The second part of the analysis focuses on some developments currently taking place in Canada.
