The Wall Street Journal's Forecasting Survey

At the beginning of the first and third quarter of every year, The Wall Street Journal publishes its Semiannual Economic Forecasting Survey. Sixty panelists participated in the most recent survey, with each forecasting several key variables on which their forecasts will be evaluated six months later. During the last few years we have undertaken the task of utilizing the economists’ consensus forecasts to make inferences regarding stock and bond market returns.
