The events of 2008 led to the enactment of policies that would have been unthinkable just a few years earlier. These changes could very well mark a realignment of global economic policies. The next few months should provide confirmation as to whether the world economy is truly embarking in a change in the direction of global economic policies. While it may be too early to tell, some trends are clearly emerging that suggest a change in direction.
