The Wall Street Journal Forecasting Survey

On the inflation front, forecasts moved lower again. The consensus forecast calls for the underlying CPI inflation rate to follow a U-shaped pattern. They expect the trailing 12 months CPI inflation rate to fall into negative range reaching -0.9% by June 2009 before rebounding to 1.1% in December, 2009.
