How Foreign Profits are the IRA of the Corporate Sector

The difference in the tax treatment between the domestic and foreign earnings of U.S. corporations is very similar to that of the tax treatment of a regular savings account and an IRA. That is why we say that the foreign profits are the corporations’ IRA.
