The Second Quarter Outlook

This quarter, there are several interesting new pieces of information. Internationally, we have to take into account the disturbances in the Middle East and the corresponding rise in the price of oil. The latter could very well be a drag on the prospect for economic growth of oil-importing nations. Another important news item was China’s monthly trade deficit. Is this a signal that the savings glut is ending?
