The Wall Street Journal’s Forecasting Survey

In the latest survey, the economists accurately expected the Fed to do another round of quantitative easing, which was announced yesterday afternoon. However, the economists did not expect very many benefits from the Fed’s actions. And even with another round of quantitative easing, the panel did not think inflation would be an issue, and they continue to expect mediocre economic growth over the following two years.
